The burger was enjoyable same as the fries. The service was fine, it's a small diner and one wait staff and one cook so overall no bad. The atmosphere felt cold, quiet and empty. I will make it a point to give them another try.

Great home cooked meal! We had breakfast of fresh eggs, hash browns, sausage patties, and toast, oh and the coffee! All of it was delicious! Prices very reasonable. Atmosphere was good however, it was chilly making our meal cool off quickly, also, we had to keep our coats on. They got to be quite busy which is a very good sign! We will be back!

New owners are doing a great job The place was packed with customers eating in and picking up. I had a steak sub and it was amazing. The french fries were so good. Just writing this is making me wanna go back and get some more The previous owners are definitely missed, but I’m so glad this restaurant will go on. A Chester staple.

We LOVE The Village Grill. It is a reminder of what was good in Chester in the old days, with a relaxed retro feel. We often go for breakfast and work a crossword puzzle in this welcoming, homey slice of heaven. Shane, the owner, cooks burgers, dogs, eggs, bacon, and fries to perfection. And if you happen in when Mercy is the cook, she’s amazing too. If you’re lucky enough to go on a day when Sunny is working, you’re lucky enough! She is as kind as she is beautiful. In a town where almost nothing is as good as it was during my childhood, this restaurant reminds me that there are a few wonderful things that remain.

A cute, quaint eatery with great customer service and very generous portions in their servings. I heard a lot of good things about the hash browns - everything I heard was accurate. Everything was quick and easy.

The Grill is somewhere between a diner and a take out restaurant. Order & pay at the counter, have a seat, and they bring your order to you. The food was very tasty. While it certainly is not a destination restaurant, we would return in if in the area again. Our food was very tasty, and I would like to explore more of their simple menu. But the little things can be a big difference. Like a slice of cheese on your burger that is not melted, just a cold piece of cheese (see photo)

Very quaint "mom n pop" place. Stopped in for lunch. Food was fresh, hot and delicious! Staff was very friendly! Highly recommend this diamond in the rough!
